HETE's Eventual Launch
When it happens, I'll be at Kwajalein
As you can see, most of
the island is a runway. I'll be sleeping (as allowed) in a small
building on the right side, and walking to work in a small trailer
housing the HETE Primary Ground Station
at the othe end of the runway. Before launch, the L1011 that will
carry HETE+Pegasus to 40,000 feet will be parked on the hot pad.
