One night after dinner I was walking back to my room along a dark path. I glanced into the bushes and noticed a few very faintly glowing spots, each about 2-3 mm across. Upon closer inspection I found that they were phosphorescent mushrooms. I took one back to my room and had a photo shoot with it. The light images were taken with the room's overhead light on. The dark images were taken with the room lights off, and the camera set to a 15 second exposure (the longest it can do). The camera chose an ASA setting of 50, except in the last image where I forced it to ASA 400. That's why the last image has more noise, but it also has more signal, making it perhaps the most interesting image. |
