Nudibranchs, also known as sea slugs, are in the same class as snails (Gastropoda), but a different subclass (Opisthobranchia, order Nudibranchia). They have no shells, and their gills are external to the body. They make great photo subjects because of their vivid coloring, and because they don't move very fast. |
