The Boston Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club sponsors lots of events. The photography committee organizes trips to a local greenhouse which raises lots of beautiful butterflies and moths. I went along on one occasion, taking my Canon EOS-1n camera and 100mm macro lens. Here are a few pictures from that day. Sorry, but I didn't note what species I was photographing, so you won't be able to use this as a field guide to butterflies of New England.
