Summary
I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at MIT in the Kavli Institue for Astrophysics. My research is primarily aimed at understanding the evolution of cluster galaxies within the context of environment. I am particularly interested in the formation of massive galaxies residing at the heart of clusters (BCGs), and in the evolution of the star formation and gas content in dynamically distinct cluster sub-populations (virialized versus infalling galaxies).
The z > 1 universe is an especially crucial parameter space to explore---it marks a time when gas mass fractions, gas accretion rates, and star formation rates were substantially higher, resulting in a fundamental difference in the growth of galaxies at early times.
I am involved in many collaborations, including: SpARCS, RCS, and GOGREEN.
