At MIT, Taweewat is performing a survey through various archives for extreme galaxy clusters similar to the Phoenix cluster, to determine how common these short-lived phases of extreme activity are. |

Michael Calzadilla (Grad Student)Michael earned his undergraduate physics degree from the University of South Florida. He was a Gates Scholar at Cambridge University before beginning his PhD research at MIT. His research focuses on understanding the development of thermal instabilities in the intracluster medium, and the role of AGN feedback in preventing the development of these instabilities. |

Florian Ruppin (Postdoc Associate)Florian obtained his PhD in cosmology at the Laboratoire de Physique Subatomique et de Cosmologie (LPSC) in Grenoble, France. His research interests concern galaxy cluster physics, the structure formation process in the Universe and its link with cosmology, and dark matter physics. At MIT, he has been focused on understanding the evolution of the intracluster medium in a progenitor-selected sample of galaxy clusters spanning nearly ten billion years of cosmic time. |

Matthew Bayliss --> Univ. of CincinattiMatt is now an assistant professor at the Univ. of Cincinatti.Matt's research includes studies of gravitational lensing, observational cosmology, giant arc statistics, UVOIR spectroscopy, galaxy cluster astrophysics, and star formation in galaxies. Most recently, his work has focused on studying the population of background galaxies lensed by massive clusters, and using the lensing properties to learn more about very distant galaxies. |

Allison Noble --> Arizona State Univ.Allison is now an assistant professor at Arizona State University.Allison's research is focused on the evolution of cluster galaxies within the context of environment. In particular, she is interested in the star formation and gas content within dynamically distinct cluster sub-populations (virialized versus infalling galaxies), and the formation of massive galaxies residing at the heart of clusters (BCGs). She utilizes many telescopes in her research from optical to submillimeter wavelengths, including Herschel, ALMA, Spitzer, HST, and the JCMT. |
